Amidst hundreds of theatre owners shutting down shows out of losses incurred due to the enforcement of G.O 35, film distributors and theatre owners of Andhra Pradesh have met with the Andhra Pradesh Minister for Cinematography to address the issue. While both the parties refused to disclose the meeting resolutions, sources confirmed that the AP government is strict on its stand and refused to step back with the G.O.
However, the government has appointed a committee on the issue of cinema tickets, which would decide on the classification and pricing of theaters, confirmed the minister addressing the media after the meeting. He said the government will take an amicable decision based on the report submitted by the committee.
“There is no place for grudge on anyone. Strict actions will be taken against the theatres screening shows without B-Form from the Revenue Department and NOC from the Fire Department.” The minister then slammed at hero Nani and Siddharth for their ignorant comments against the government on the matter concerned and opined that it is not good to spread false propaganda.
