After months of deliberations, BJP and JanaSena have finally come to an agreement on the by-election candidate for the Tirupati parliamentary seat. BJP Andhra Pradesh unit president Somu Veerraju on Friday has finally made it official that they would field BJP’s candidate for the by-elections.
Taking to his social media handles, Somu Veerraju shared a picture with JanaSena chief Pawan Kalyan stating that their alliance is in agreement with the recent development. Despite announcing an alliance with the BJP in the AP, JanaSena has been at loggerheads with the saffron party over the Tirupati seat.
Had a productive meeting with @JanaSenaParty President Shri @PawanKalyan in Presence of Shri @Sunil_Deodhar & Shri @mnadendla regarding candidate for the upcoming by-election in Tirupati.

Sources have it that Somu Veerraju’s unilateral statements led to differences between the two parties. While the senior leader’s official announcements without consulting JanaSena didn’t go with the actor-turned-politician. However, the recent clarification from Somu Veerraju on an official front cleared the smoke in BJP and JanaSena state cadres. BJP is yet to announce the candidate’s name.
