While the corona toll continued to rise in Andhra Pradesh, the second worst-hit state in the country, Tirupati MP Balli Durga Prasad Rao was undergoing treatment for corona in Chennai succumbed to the deadly viral infection on Wednesday.
He was reported shifted to a private hospital in Chennai after he tested positive 15 days back and is undergoing treatment while his condition deteriorated from the last few hours. According to the hospital authorities, the YCP MP breathed his last at around 6 PM.
Born in Gudur, Durga Prasad Rao a record by winning four times as Nellore district Gudur MLA during 1985-1989, and between 1994 and 2014 for four times. He also served as Minister for Primary Education between 1996 and 1998 and also as Member of Public Accounts Committee between 2009 and 2014. He contested from YSR Congress party and elected as MP from Tirupati Lok Sabha seat.
Condolences are pouring in for the politician while Chief Minister expressed his sympathies for the fans, followers and the bereaved family.
