Crime Bureau, Tolivelugu: The crime bureau of Tolivelugu has been giving out some of the most exclusive articles on the ongoing sand mafia in the Godavari basin. All these stories are firsthand and are consisting of huge risks. Tolivelugu has been publishing the news with proper pieces of evidence. However, it must be said that the sand mafia is spreading wildly across the ponds, rivers, and lakes across the state. Sand is being dumped illegally without proper permits. Attacks are being made on journalists who question. Recently in the Siricilla district, a gang attacked the journalist in anger while he was questioning the sand mafia. One such incident recently came to light in the Nalgonda district. Shockingly, this time it is the police who attacked here.
Kethepalli Mandal SI Anil Reddy attacked a media representative from Tungaturti. The journalist said that he was indiscriminately called to the police station to speak about a quarrel between him and a relative, then was beaten to pulp. He was rushed to Nakirekal Government Hospital on Wednesday morning for treatment and was shifted to Nalgonda Hospital for better treatment.
For a few days, the journalist gave several articles on the illegal sand smuggling in the Kethepalli zone. Relatives allege that the MLA orchestrated this attack as he was unable to digest it. People at the premises are angry at the SI, and shooting questions like, “How can you beat someone so badly, just because he was asking questions, and doing his job?”
Journalist associations are outraged over the incident. They are outraged at the attacks on journalists who struggle to uncover the truth. They say that if people like them are being treated indiscriminately, then the situation of the common people is going to be worse.
