The drug cartel case that created a sensation in Tollywood four years ago has come to main media again. Despite the Telangana excise officials given a clean chit, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has stepped into action. Notices were issued to the Tollywood celebrities who were previously questioned by excise police.
It is learned that the accused who were arrested under the Money Laundering Act were again summons to interrogate again. The ED officials are reportedly recording the statements of Kelvin, Peter, and Kamminga, who was arrested in the 2017 drug cartel. It is learned that summons were issued to the Tollywood celebrities on the basis of the statements recorded from the above three.
The accused reportedly confronted that the drugs were imported from abroad through the dark web while the money was paid in the form of hawala. According to reports, the drugs were being supplied to a club belonging to actor Navdeep and notices were issued to the club manager in this regard.
Meanwhile, ED is scrutinizing the online and bank transactions of Kelvin, Peter, and Kamminga. ED already issued summons to Tollywood actors like Puri Jagannath, Daggubati Rana, Rakul Preet Singh, Charmi Kaur, Ravi Teja, Mumaith Khan, Nandu, Navdeep, Tarun, and Tanish. ED will investigate the above actors from August 31 to September 22.
