TPCC chief Revanth Reddy once again took a bold step against KCR. It seems the chief of congress doesn’t want to let go of any aspects of KCR’s incompetence. While Revanth is already aggravated at KCR’s behavior throughout the Mumbai tour, he now attacked the CM with a series of serious questions on VRO issues. On similar lines, Revanth wrote an open letter to KCR.
Revanth Reddy in his letter stated that the dire condition of the VROs in the state is getting worse than that of slaves in medieval history. He lashed out at the government for making the VROs do laborious work, exploiting their entire time while barely paying just pennies. Revanth also spoke about the rights of VROs, their inadequate salaries, and years of no promotions altogether making VROs lives miserable.
He also wrote about the time when KCR had promised in the assembly on implementing the pay scale for VROs. Revanth criticized the government for not implementing it over the years, also slamming KCR for making empty promises just to impress people for the votes. He demanded to implement everything that was guaranteed. Lashing out at the incompetent Seshadri Committee, Revanth called out and demanded immediate implementation of an assured pay scale for VROs.
Further, he asked the government to offer promotions to the VROs who are eligible and deserve a raise in pay scale and promotions. The letter also said that they should build double-bedroom houses for the VROs in their own villages, adding that the government must support the families of VROs who have died in the line of duty.
Ever since the VRO system was abolished which happened 16 months back, the state currently has 5,756 vacancies. Revanth demanded justice for all those VROs who played a key role in the formation of the Telangana state.
