Veteran lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry who was hospitalized on Saturday after developing breathlessness and fever breathed his last this evening. Reportedly, the 66-year-old lyricist was diagnosed with pneumonia and was admitted to Hyderabad’s KIMS hospital in Secunderabad.
Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry was earlier honored with Padma Shri for his contribution to film literature. Chembolu Seetharama Sastry, aka Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, had even got eleven state Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards South for his contribution to the entertainment industry as a lyricist. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs till 2020. Sirivennela last penned two songs for Nani’s ‘Shyam Singha Roy’.
