Lakshman, National President of OBC Morcha:
All KCR wants to do now is for his party TRS to work with Congress. It is clear that Congress does not have the power to take over the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Center. That is why it has secretly decided to make deals with regional parties in order to strengthen its position. The Congress and the TRS will indirectly co-operate with each other in the forthcoming Assembly elections. They will also compete directly together in parliamentary elections. This is the drama that PK is playing in front of the media having KCR as the face of it.
They are playing this game with the Congress to prevent the anti-government votes from splitting in order to bring the TRS back to power in the state, to win the Congress at the national level. No matter who writes the strategies, the BJP is sure to come to power in this state and at the center. KCR and KTR are clearly unable to digest the kind of support the BJP has been getting in the state.
There is a dark deal going on between Congress and the TRS parties. PK is an election strategist for both parties because they are in fact working together. KCR had earlier dropped hints about forming a front with non-Congress parties, and it appears as if he changed his decision with the arrival of PK. Now, PK is strategizing to get Congress to work with regional parties. As part of that, Congress is working on building a friendship with the TRS.
Both KCR and PK must know that their strategies no longer work in Telangana. People are ready to oust KCR. If you look at the way KTR says that the main contenders for TRS are KA Paul and MIM, you can understand his intentions and political intellect.
