Though TRS party has an edge of being a ruling one in the state, neither Chief Minister nor minister KTR wants to snub the upcoming municipal elections. Taking the election on a serious note, KTR who took the responsibility to look over the candidate selection seems to be in a fix now. Besides the pressures from the opposition parties, candidates from his own party are reportedly bringing new headaches for KTR and team. Sources close to KTR are now speculating if the rebels from his own party might dent the winning chances of TRS in a few of the municipalities.
It is to the known knowledge that the oppositions, Congress and BJP are giving comparatively less fight to the ruling party which can be quoted as one of the positive traits to TRS’ victory. This has indeed boosted the morale of the TRS cadre which kickstarted the campaigns well in advance. Minister KTR was also said to constitute a special committee to narrow down the candidates’ list with vigorous groundwork. However, it was known that the competition for tickets is fierce, with party leaders aggressively trying for TRS tickets in all municipalities and corporations. This is now forcing KTR’s involvement besides constituting a team to manage his time. Reportedly, there has been a tough competition between the seniors and the new entries who are making every possible attempt to please the high command. Sources stated that KTR now appointed a few of the senior MLAs just to please the ones who didn’t get the ticket to avoid the rebels’ headache.
