There are many instances where minister Malla Reddy left TRS supremo and Telangana CM KCR embarrassed ever since the former assumed office in 2019. The leaked audiotape of the minister demanding money from party leaders to give party tickets for municipal polls and demanding money from realtors is one such incident that tarnished the name of the ruling party.
Though the minister refuted that it was not his voice in the audiotape, state political circles are well aware of active involvement in the real estate business. In a recent development, the minister eyed Telangana activist’s land. Venkatesh Goud, who lives in Ward 5 of Jawahar Nagar Municipality, bought a piece of land in Karingula Nursing Ramnagar Colony.
While Venkatesh has recently begun the construction on the site, Murugesh, a local corporator was learned to demand Rs 1 lakh to continue construction. With Venkatesh resisting, Murugesh has arranged for central lighting in the same place using his power. He was also alleged of involving minister Malla Reddy in the issue.
Followed by which the activist openly lambasted the minister. As the minister out of humiliation remained tight-lipped, Murugesh was pacified by the leaders present there. Venkatesh later alleged that the minister and the corporation are blackmailing him and will fight against the duo on the legal front.
