In what can be stated as a development that would set ripples in Telangana politics, Bengaluru police who unearthed a drug racket recently has traced the involvement of ruling TRS MLAs. Sources confirmed that the police are all set to arrest three out of five MLAs who were found guilty.
While the Bengaluru police are all busy gathering strong evidence, tensions ran in the TRS cadre with speculations that the MLAs would be behind bars anytime soon. Police sources have it that an MLA, who claims to be an activist and the leader who finances movies through cab business are among the list of MLAs to be arrested.
It can be noted that the same leaders were alleged to have connections with the drug racket unearthed in Hyderabad earlier. While the case was allegedly sidetracked because of the pressures from influential ruling party leaders, this time the Bengaluru police are reportedly planning to tighten the noose.
