PK is currently a hot topic in Telangana politics. Congress says he has distanced himself from the TRS. On the other hand, TRS says that they keep meeting PK, and are working together. In a recent interview, TRS Working President KTR clarified the matter, making it clear that their journey with PK will continue until 2023. But Revanth Reddy on the other hand says that the recent meeting of PK with KCR is to convey that he quit TRS. In this context, the comments made by KTR in the interview have become a topic of discussion in political circles.
KTR says that TRS wants to stay in touch with PK with the intention of not alienating young people in this digital age. “When KCR became the chief minister, a ten-year-old boy knew that he was going to be a voter in these two years, and today he sees KCR as a chief minister of Telangana, being unaware of KCR leading the state separation movement,” said KCR stressing about the importance of awareness and history of the state among the young population. KTR said that politics has to adapt to the changes that come with the passage of time as the generation changes. Analysts say that TRS wants to collaborate with PK to tune in the young voters.
Farmers are angry over not implementing the debt-waivers and incompetent grain procurement. Opposition parties are of the strong opinion that the people of Telangana are angry at KCR and they are ready to oust him from the state at any moment. Leaders from Congress and BJP are also stressing out on the TRS government not providing any employment opportunities for the state youth, and deceiving Dalits through their fake promises. Everyone, starting from the common people to the leaders is frustrated with the false assurances and never-implemented promises of KCR. It is also said that in order to divert peoples’ attention, the government has been introducing many random programs. This time the pundits are of the opinion that TRS is cunningly targeting the young voters to form the government for the third time, and warning the youth to be careful.
In the interview, there is another thing said by KTR that is drawing huge attention. He said, “KCR is a better strategist than Prashant Kishore.” To this, opposition leaders are questioning the necessity of PK when KCR himself is smarter. The TRS, which has won the last two elections, is said to be conspiring to bring in PK, after realizing that victory will not be easy this time. Opposition groups are of opinion that KCR is scared.
