Snubbing all the rumours around the deals to be signed over the U.S. President’s visit to India, Trump has cleared the air addressing the crowd in jam-packed Motera Stadium. Stating that the United States will become India’s premier defence partner, Trump announced that the U.S. will sign deals to sell over $3 billion, in the absolute finest state of the art military helicopters and other equipment to the Indian armed forces.
Trump then thanked Indians for their contributions to the booming USA’s economy. “I have come to India to expand our relations. The PM and I will continue our dialogue to deepen the relationship between our countries. Our relations took a new turn when the Indian and US military has a joint exercise – Tiger Triumph,” he asserted. On this note, the U.S. President went all praise to PM Modi claiming him as ‘a moving story of an incredible rise’. “You are not just the pride of Gujarat, you are living proof that with hard work and devotion, Indians can accomplish anything at all, anything they want,” said Trump.
