Amidst the on-going controversy over the TTD Board’s review of the previous Board’s decision to sell TTD land, the independent trust’s Chairman YV Subba Reddy on Saturday released a white paper on the properties which were donated by the devotees from the past few decades.
The move came minutes after the board members convene a meeting in Annamayya Bhavan on Saturday. Addressing the media, Subba Reddy announced that TTD owns over 1,128 properties across the country. “TTD owns a total of 8,088.89 acres in India.
Out of which, 335.23 acres have been sold so far. TTD currently owns 987 properties which include 7,753.66 acres of land,” read the statement released today.
The Chairman on this note announced that TTD is contemplating to set up a committee on how to bring the TTD properties all over the country into good use. TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy also clarified that the board of trustees had decided to continue TTD’s gift deposits in nationalized banks. He further added that the decision to buy central and state security bonds had been postponed.
