The sensational case of alleged sexual exploitation of a woman by 143 men registered in Panjagutta is taking unexpected turns. While the case is already transferred to the Central Crime Station of the Detective Department, it was learnt that it gained pace with the official narrowing down all possible clues.
According to the allegations made by the 24-year-old woman, she was exploited by several student union leaders, junior movie artists, television anchors, news reporters and advocates in the span of five years. The list also includes the names of personal assistants of a couple of MPs.
Sources revealed that the police would soon serve notices to all the 143 members specified in the FIR. On the other hand, a few ABVP activists held a protest at commissioner office demanding justice for the woman.
Meanwhile, acquiring the CCTV footages in relevance to the allegations made by the woman has turned into a challenge for the CCS officials. Sources have it that the officials are also digging into the involvement of the NGO which learnt to support the woman to file the complaint. It can be noted that inspector Niranjan stated that the woman approached the police with support from a women welfare NGO.
