BSNL AP Circle and City Online Media Pvt Ltd have jointly decided to launch an entity of telecasting digital TV channels. Keeping in view the increasing popularity of digital TV channels, there will be no additional charges for new subscribers of the BSNL fiber broadband segment for these broadcasting services.
City Online Media Pvt Ltd under the brand name Ulka TV will provide these services in Andhra Pradesh through BSNL’s IP network. BSNL AP circle has joined hands with this company to provide IPTV services to its fiber broadband customers in relation to the Ulka TV brand.
Existing or new BSNL Fiber Broadband customers in Andhra Pradesh can avail of BSNL Online Media i.e. Ulka TV offer.
Ulka TV can provide uninterrupted TV broadcast services through CDN servers for delivery of digital TV channels over the BSNL IP network in Andhra Pradesh.
It is known that BSNL is the second largest wireline telecom service provider. It has an extensive pan-India optic fiber network in every remote part of the country.
The company also has pan-India capacity for an optical fiber network, IP-MPLS, suitable for expanding its broadband services for socio-economic growth in India in line with the ‘Digital India’ program vision of the Government of India.

BSNL has other fixed or mobile telecom services with a customer base of 27 lakhs across the country. In addition to these, they can watch thousands of TV channels on the internet in a single connection as there is also an IPTV system.
