Union Minister of Women and Child Development Smriti Irani on Wednesday confirmed that she tested positive for the coronavirus. The 44-year-old actor-turned-politician who took an active part in Bihar election campaigning for BJP took to her official Twitter handle to reveal the news.
“It is rare for me to search for words while making an announcement; hence here’s me keeping it simple — I’ve tested positive for #COVID,” read her tweet. Irani further urged those who came in contact with her in the fast few days to get themselves tested ‘at the earliest’
