June 8th would be a historic date post the lockdown with the nation ramping up for Unlock 1.0 across various states. From Monday, several cities across the country would lift many of the lockdown restrictions called in the wake of the pandemic. However, according to the instructions from the centre, all the norms would remain intact in containment zones.
While the night curfew will still remain the same from 9 pm to 5 am across the nations adhering to strict guidelines on social distancing and sanitisation, here is a full list of places and services that will open from June 8.
Temples, mosques, churches and other worship places
Authorities should ensure that a distance of six feet between devotees is maintained and touching of statues, idols, holy books and any of the surfaces will not be allowed. However, prayers in groups will not be permitted.
Parks will continue to remain open from 7 am to 9 am and from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Hotels and restaurants
Hospitality services including hospitals and restaurants will fly open for the customers from Monday except in containment zones. Sanitising and thermal scanning are made mandatory at the entrance. Restaurants are instructed to made arrangement ensuring social distancing with 50 per cent occupancy. However, the government instructed the restaurant owners to encourage takeaway or home delivery.
Shopping malls and food courts
According to the new relaxations, shopping will remain open from June 8th while only asymptomatic visitors shall be allowed to enter with face masks on. However, gaming zones and cinema halls in the malls will remain shut.
While the citizens are happy with the most awaited relaxations, cinema halls, gymnasium, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will still remain shut until further notice. These expected to open only in the third phase of Unlock 1.0.
