Ahead of the festive season in October and Unlock phase-4 coming to an end all eyes are now on central government’s relaxations as a part of Unlock-5. It is to the known knowledge that though the government allowed malls, salons, restaurants, and gyms to open with restrictions, cinema halls, swimming pools, and entertainment parks remain closed.
Almost 9,600 theatres across the country were left helpless with unavoidable monthly maintenance expenditures ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s called for a nationwide lockdown from March 24th. However, the wait is soon to end as the central government issued permissions for cinema halls and multiplexes to open from October 15th.
In the line of new guidelines, cinema halls, multiplexes, swimming pools used for training of sportspersons and entertainment parks will be permitted to open with up to 50 per cent of their seating capacity, for which, SOP will be issued by I&B Ministry. Further, the central government has left the ‘reopening schools’ decision to the state government after October 15.
