The latest serological survey has once again concluded that the vaccine is the best solution to end the pandemic in our country. According to a survey conducted in Mumbai, those who have been partially or completely vaccinated have a significant number of antibodies. Meanwhile, those who did not take a single dose of the vaccine reported lower levels of antibody growth.
Of those who received one or two doses of the COVID vaccine, 90.26 percent reported having antibodies, while only 79.86 percent of those who did not receive the vaccine reported developed antibodies. For this study, 8,674 samples from people above the age of 18 years were collected.
As of September 16th, 75.79 lakh people in Mumbai had taken the first dose of the COVID vaccine while 32.53 lakh people received two doses. In total, 65 percent of Mumbai’s urban population has been vaccinated against COVID. According to the survey, only 0.35 percent of those who were fully vaccinated were re-infected.
