India and Dussereh are two inseparable words as the country takes a festive hue irrespective of the state. Amidst the season Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari temple in Nellore district drew the media’s attention with the decorated with origami flowers all over the temple.
However, everyone is left in shock knowing that the origami flowers are made of currency notes valued at more than Rs 5.16 crore. Into details, over 100 volunteers relentlessly worked for several hours to decorate the temple with notes of the denominations of Rs 2,000, Rs 500, Rs 200, Rs 100, Rs 50, and Rs 10. 7 kilograms of gold and 60 kg of silver are used to adorn the Goddess, informed the organizers.
The pictures of the diety and the decoration are now going viral on social media. A large number of devotees worship the deity in the ‘avatar’ of ‘Dhanalakshmi’, the goddess of riches, during the Navratri celebrations. It can be noted that the Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari temple recently went through renovation works at a cost of Rs 11 crore.
