‘Vidyarthi Nirudyoga Jung Siren’ call taken by TPCC chief Revanth Reddy coinciding with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi seems to send terror waves in Telangana political circles. As per the recent reports, Revanth was held under house arrest ahead of the protest on Saturday.
While the meeting is scheduled to be held in LB Nagar with a rally from Dishuknagar, Hyderabad police reportedly held the Congress MP under house arrest claiming that the meeting was denied permission. Hundreds of police and vehicles were deployed around Revanth Reddy’s house. However, Revanth warned that the consequences will be severe if the police tried to disrupt the rally.
Congress activists, on the other hand, are reportedly trying all the odds to bring Revanth Reddy to the LB Nagar meeting while CP Mahesh Bhagwat clarified that the rally didn’t have permission.
