Munugodu Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy’s resignation announcement is affecting MLAs of other constituencies. It seems that the feeling that the by-elections will be held and the constituencies will improve only if their MLAs resign is firmly rooted in the people.
Because it seems like the experience faced by TRS MLA Pailla Shekhar Reddy in Bhudan Pochampalli Mandal’s Deshmukh village today. It is against this backdrop that TRS MLA Payla Shekhar Reddy, who went on a tour in the Deshmukh village of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, was stopped by the villagers. The villagers expressed their anger at the MLA as to why the road works have not been completed even after eight years.
Locals stopped MLA Pailla Shekhar Reddy stating that the condition of the road is so bad that even the school bus was unable to make it to pick up children. The villagers demanded that the road works should be completed immediately or else he should resign from the post of MLA.
The villagers of Deshmukh demanded that the former MLA should resign for the development of their constituency just the way Manugodu MLA did. They expressed concerns stating that the MLA should resign immediately due to his incompetent service. In the 2014 and 2018 assembly elections, Payla Shekhar Reddy won as the TRS MLA of the Bhuvanagiri Assembly Constituency. Assembly elections are almost a year and a half away. On the other hand, if Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy accepts the resignation of former Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, there is a possibility of a by-election.
