Telugu audience needs no introduction to Rajamouli’s multi-starrer ’RRR’, the most hyped movie in recent times. The teaser introducing main lead Tarak as Adivasi revolutionist Komaram Bheem stuck a chord with the cinephiles while social media flooded with memes and spoofs.
However, a special spoof shot by Adivasi youth from Komaram Bheem Asifabad district in Telangana grabbed everyone’s attention. In what can be called a counter to the visual effects and drama in the original teaser, the youth of the tribal community claimed that their video completely shot on a mobile phone is close to the reality.
#Adivasiyouth made this trailer with their cellphones to put their version before a larger audience and counter RRR trailer on Komaram Bheem released by Rajamouli.Techgy enables creative Adivasis to democratically counter 'fiction version' and distortion of history of their Icon. pic.twitter.com/TcsfXVVzrf

They also stated that their community icon is being shown in poor light distorting his real story. While the original teaser showed Komaram Bheem in a skull cap, kurta and Surma general worn by Muslims, the youth showed the original attire of the revolutionist by the end of the spoof. The video ends with the makers holding up a portrait of Komaram Bheem.
It can be noted that the video drew strong objections from many right-wing accounts objecting Komaram Bheem portrayal as a Muslim man. Despite director Rajamouli’s claims that the characters were complete fiction, a few Hindu organisations threatened to burn down theatres unless Rajamouli removes the portions of the film.
