Two policemen lost their lives in an unexpected and shocking terrorist attack where a militant took out his gun at a crowded place in Srinagar’s Baghat Barzulla and rained bullets on a police party today. The policemen were shot at a very close range which was caught on one of the CCTV cameras.

While the area has been cordoned off and a manhunt has been launched to nab the attacker, The Resistance Front (TRF), a frontal organization of Pakistan-backed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has claimed responsibility for the brazen attack.
The attack came close on the heels of the Jammu and Kashmir police arresting Zahoor Ahmad Rather alias Khalid, a terrorist affiliated with TRF (The Resistance Force) who had killed one Police personnel in Furrah, Kulgam, and three BJP workers in Vessu last year.
It can be noted that this is second such terrorist attack in the past 48 hours. On Wednesday, terrorists had shot at Krishna Dhaba, a popular eatery in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar. A terrorist group had claimed responsibility for the and had warned of more such attacks.
