In what can be stated as a twist in the tale, a section of MLAs and MLCs of Visakhapatnam district backed Chief Minister Jagan’s ‘three capital’ proposal. Reportedly the leaders took the decision followed by a secluded meeting to discuss the prevailing situations over the capital shift controversy. The meeting was attended by leaders like V Anitha, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu, SA Rahman, Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, Gana Babu, MLCs Duvvarapu Rama Rao, P Chalapati Rao and Buddha Naga Jagadeeswara Rao.

Talking to the media post the meeting a few of the senior leaders openly supported Jagan’s decision. Stating the same, the leaders also demanded that government to issue a clear assurance to the Amaravati farmers who have been protesting from the past seven days. The leaders also stated that they would soon meet their chief Chandrababu Naidu to put forth their opinions over the issue. However, this has come as a shock to the TDP cadre who are busy protesting against the government with a demand to take back the ‘three-capital’ proposal. We have to see what would be Chandrababu’s stand on TDP leaders supporting his counterpart.
