Tensions ran high in Visakhapatnam with the health authorities confirming the third Coronavirus positive case on Friday. According to the officials, a 65-year-old man who happens to be a resident of the U.S. had the travel history of visiting Mecca and Kachiguda.
It was reported that the patient was shifted to an isolated ward in Chest Hospital while almost 10 teams with 100 members are deployed to trace the people who came into contact with the infected. On this note, news that the infected patient died flared up the situations. Reacting to the news, district collector Vinay Chand snubbed the rumours.
“The patient’s condition is stable. He is been treated in the isolation ward,” he said. Stating that stringent action will be taken against the people who tend to spread fake news, the collector announced that the government is all set to face the Corona with 4,000 beds ready for patients. He then urged the citizen to restrain from panic.
