As the showdown between the trade unions of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) is escalating with each passing day, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao submitting his resignation gave a new twist to the agitations.
Condemning the privatisation decision and assuring his complete support to the employees, TDP senior leader Ganta Srinivasa Rao, on Saturday has tendered his resignation letter from his MLA post to the AP Legislative Assembly Speaker on Saturday. He then urged the public representatives not to step back to submit their resignation letters if need be to save the steel plant.
Further, he even declared that he would constitute a JAC to lead the agitation irrespective of parties which hinted all the political circles of one single thing. According to a section of political analysts, Ganta is discursively hinting on leading the agitation and is planning to politicise his resignation.
However, the format Ganta sent his letter turned debatable which is learnt to be technically wrong. It can be clearly seen that resignation letter of MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao is not in speaker format i.e, that reason should not be mentioned in the letter. It is learnt that the speaker may accept his resignation using his discretionary powers or may reject as it is not in the format.
