The VRAs demanded to implement the promises given by the CM. They tried to besiege the assembly. Hundreds of VRAs gathered near the tank bund. However, as the police were heavily deployed everywhere, the VRAs were stationed on the road near the tank bund.
The police arrested the protestors. Passing roads were blocked in the wake of assembly meetings. Barricades were put up near Indira Park and Telugu Thalli Flyover. Around 200 VRAs were detained.
The arrested VRAs were taken to different police stations. Vehicles coming towards the Assembly from Nampally were diverted. The police closed the hotels and shops on the route from Pragati Bhavan to the Assembly. The VRAs demanded that KCR fulfill the promises given to them as an assembly witnesses. They were angry that there is no movement in the government even though they have been doing sit-ins and initiations for 50 days. That is why they tried to besiege the assembly.
They lamented that 32 VRAs have died so far due to a lack of proper response from the government. The VRAs have warned that they will disrupt Pragati Bhavan if their issues are not resolved.
