Hours after the doctors at Hyderabad Gandhi Hospital were attacked by the bereaved family of the Corona patient, another brutal act which put the nation at shame took place in Indore. In a video which surfaced on social media, healthcare workers and civic officials dressed up in hazmat suits can be seen running away from the mob who started pelting stones.
The incident reportedly took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore while a health care team went to screen people for coronavirus in the city’s Taat Patti Bakhal area. Two female doctors sustained injuries in the attack who were rescued by police from the angry mod. A case has been registered against unidentified people. It was learnt that a similar incident took place in another place in Indore and the officials have already reported the resistance from the locals.

Reacting over the issue, netizens took to social media to condemn the attacks on health workers and civic workers who are rendering their service despite the threats they face. According to the reports from the health authorities, Indore has emerged as the epicentre for coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh with 69 coronavirus positive cases registered, while the total number of cases in Madhya Pradesh reached to 86.
