The water war between the Telugu state governments didn’t settle down despite the intervention of the Krishna Board. After a series of war-of-words between the political leaders, the issue reached the jurisdiction of the court.
To note, Union Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has already held separate meetings with Telangana CM KCR and Andhra CM Jagannath on phone.
While CM KCR will leave for Delhi on May 24 to attend CMs of Maoist-affected states, which will be held in Delhi on May 26, he was learned to take the appointment of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on the 25th to discuss the ongoing water war.
Andhra CM Jagan, on the other hand, is also scheduled to attend the meeting on the 26th. With this, it seems that there is an opportunity for the Union Minister to have a face-to-face meeting with the CMs of the two states and resolved the disputes amicably.
