The American President Donald Trump had once again lashed out at India of robbing America and threatened to stop doing business with the country if the same continues.
He found fault with India collecting 100% tax on the American goods and blamed the other countries trying to rob their economy in the name of taxes. Trump also made it clear that though India is charging 100% taxes on the American goods, they are not imposing heavy taxes on the Indian goods.
India and US have increasingly had a cordial relationship in the last few years, but this attack against India in a global platform is likely to put that relationship to test.
“We’re like the piggy bank that everybody is robbing,” Trump said at a press conference before making an early exit from the two-day summit in La Malbaie, Quebec, where he met with leaders of Canada, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, and Japan.
