West Bengal has been taking an active part in the agitations against the Citizenship Amendment Act under the leadership of dynamic Mamata Benerjee. While the Trinamool Congress supremo is all busy gathering support for her nationwide protest, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday faced the flare from the students. With black flags and ‘go back’ slogans, Jagdeep who reached to Jadavpur University to attend the convocation ceremony was blocked by the protesting students. They blocked the Governor’s vehicle giving his team a tough team to come out the chaos.
The outraged Governor instructed the university authorities to cancel the convocation with the situation going out of hands. While Jagdeep tried to pacify the situation by stating that he doesn’t represent any government but of the Constitution, the students refused to back off. Taking to the media post the scenario, the Governor lashed out on Mamata Benerjee for triggering agitations across the state. Jagdeep also holds the chancellor post at the University.
