Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments on Telangana formation took the political fraternity by storm. The parliamentary session received quite polarizing views against Modi’s opinions on the formation of Telangana and Congress’ involvement in the same. Responding to his comments, TS Minister Harish Rao questioned the accomplishments of Modi as a prime minister. Harish went on questioning Modi’s credibility on blaming Congress when in fact he himself hadn’t done for Telangana so far.
These comments were made by Harish during the function held in Husband. He mentioned that over 1200 lives would have been saved if Telangana was granted during the state formation streak in the year 2004 during BJP’s regime. Harish blamed both the BJP and Congress for the casualties.
Later he also expressed his shock on the matter of including seven districts in Andhra Pradesh. Harish was incensed that the separation guarantees were being unfairly enforced, also questioned what happened to the Baiyaram steel factory and the establishment of the tribal university. He further expressed his suspicion on the possible sharp rise in petrol and diesel prices post the UP elections. He criticized the BJP-led Center for doing nothing for the people of the country except cutting subsidies, raising prices, and implementing discriminating politics.
Harish Rao further added that Modi is being biased with Telangana by giving national projects to Karnataka and AP. He concluded that the BJP government is all senses is trying to drown the farmers in the country, while TRS is trying to save them.
