While various media channels both online and offline are afloat with different stories of what happened during the recreation of the crime scene as a part of the investigation, ToliVelugu tried to get the real facts behind the scene. When tried contacting the officials, the ADG Law and DCP, revealed what had happened during the encounter. According to the information, The four accused Mohammed Arif (26), Jollu Shiva (20), Jollu Naveen (20) and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu (20) were had been taken to the scene of the crime at 3 am for reconstruction under the vigilance of eight police personnel.
While the accused got down at the spot near a bridge where they set Disha ablaze which was around 50 km from Hyderabad, one of the accused reportedly signalled to the others to escape. In no time the other accused tried to snatch the weapons from the police personnel which ended up in the crossfire. One of the guards stated that two of the accused even pelted stones at the police. “Everything happened in minutes. We open fire in self-defence after two of the men attacked us snatching the weapons from guards,” said Prakash Reddy, deputy commissioner of police in Hyderabad. He even confronted that they have passed clear instructions to the accused to not try for any onwards incidents which would result in the encounter.
