Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Office issued orders transferring the Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam on Monday. According to the orders issued with the name of Principal Secretary Praveen Kumar, Subrahmanyam is posted as the Director-General for the A. P. Unman Resource Development Institute in Bapatla. While the CS has five more months of his tenure, the orders instructed him to report immediately which has come as a shock to the CMO at the secretariat.
Amidst the speculations that Principal Secretary and the CS are not on good terms, the transfer once again proved that the administration is in the iron fist of the CM. The two important bureaucrats who need to lead the administration of the state were seen busy with their own spat.
Into further details, a file on the YSR Lifetime Achievement Awards was presented to CS LV Subramaniam recently. He ordered this to be re-circulated with the Finance department’s consideration. But Praveen Prakash, who is also looking over the GAD with his additional responsibilities produced it in the Cabinet without the approval of the CM which raised the spat. The trusted sources from the CMO revealed that the same happened with Village Court’s file also. This has reportedly irked the CS who issued a show-cause notice to the Principal Secretary which gave space for speculations that the former is doing it on purpose. Change in the business rules also has further increased the distance between the bureaucrats reportedly.
