On the verge of fading, the well-established channel ETV’s primetime shows have come to the rescue of the channel. ‘Jabardasth’, the comedy show is one of such shows which has been bagging highest TRPs from the past seven years. Not only did the show managed to entertain all the age groups of audiences, it has gifted life to many struggling comedians who also found ways into Tollywood. However, this most entertaining comedy show is now on the verge of losing sheen. Though the rumours took some serious rounds in media that the top stars of the show including judges Nagaababu and Roja are leaving the show, the fans and ardent followers snubbed them until yesterday. ‘Tower Star’ Nagababu reacted to the quit rumours stating that this is the last week he would be seen on ‘Jabardasth’. While the other stars like Roja, Anasuya, Hyper Aadhi, Sudhir, Ram Prasad, Getup Srinu e.t.c, who are grinding in the quit rumours are yet to confirm the news, Nagababu’s statement has come as a shock to the television fraternity.
Close sources revealed that the spat between directors and producers Mallemala Entertainment has turned into a storm. Grapevine has it that the directors along with the team leaders demanded the hike in payments as the show is reaping good profits which was declined. This forced the directors to leave the show who were approached by Zee Telugu who immediately kickstarted a new show ‘Gangsters’. Followed by this, the directors started baiting the team leaders which ended up the top stars quitting the ‘Jabardasth’. It was known that the stars like Dhanraj and Venu who previously quit the show has also signed agreements with Zee Telugu. However, the information has it that, though interested a few of the team leaders were forced to hold back with the show due to the legal issues.
On the other hand, Zee Telugu has recently released a promo which revealed most of the actors including Nagababu and Anasuya. The theme of the show has Nagababu as the elder brother while Anasuya and Chammak Chandra played Nagababu’s sister and relative respectively. Kirak RP, Shekhar Master’s son and comedian Venu also made an entry. Anchor Pradeep and Ravi along with Dethadi Harika will be entertaining the audiences alongside the remaining actors.
