It was promised to him that soon after the separate state of Telangana is formed, all the criminal cases against him will be wiped off and he will be given a clean slate. However, none of that has happened. He was instead attacked and targeted using the previous allegations against him, then eventually got kidnapped. That someone we are talking about is Munnuru Ravi.
Everything right now looks confused if we take a look a the situation of Ravi. No one knows where he is taken and by whom he is abducted. Ravi was kidnapped near the house allotted to former Delhi MP Jitender Reddy. The Police of that region had registered a missing case against him. An investigation is underway. The family members are worried about Ravi as they are not even aware if he is safe or not.

His mother is upset with the lack of any information about the son. Tolivelugu approached her and consoled her about the same. She said a few key points on the occasion. She stated that three days ago, some policemen came to their house and asked for details about Ravi’s whereabouts to which she told them that Ravi had gone to Hyderabad. Ravi’s mother gave them his phone number to which the police responded by saying that she should tell Ravi to meet the police as soon as he returns.
“KCR earlier announced that all the cases against the Telangana activists will be dismissed as soon as the state formation happens. But, they earlier arrested Ravi based on a complaint that was filed before the state formation. Nobody is supporting us after the Telangana state is accomplished. He is now kidnapped by some unknown people, and I don’t know whom to ask for help”, she cried talking about her son.
Setting up a Department to deal with the kidnappings?
The kidnappings of Palamuru are only increasing with each passing day. Up to 9 people have been missing so far. Three of them have been disclosed by the police stating that they are on remand. There are allegations that false cases have been filed against them. Not even the family members are aware of their whereabouts. Family members of the victims say the series of kidnappings are related to the case of tampering of the election affidavit of Minister Srinivas Goud which is actively going on in the court. Political Pundits believe that the problem could be solved if a special branch could be opened by KCR to work on the kidnapping cases going on in the state.

Munnuru Ravi is a renowned Telangana activist. A man who fought for Telangana. He faced the wrath of police in the revolts, he was arrested several times. He is still in TRS. My PA called me to tell me that Ravi has come to his house in Delhi. I told him to stay in the guest room. He said that he is in Delhi for some personal work. It was later learned that he was accompanied by two others. The driver’s wife called at 12 o’clock on the night of the 28th saying that her husband was missing. I told her to complain to the police. After some time he called his wife and told her that he is going to Haryana for some work and she doesn’t have to worry. She said this. The next day my PA asked her if everything is alright, and that’s when she said that her husband hadn’t arrived yet. I contacted the police as the CCTV cameras in my house were not working. So, the cameras in the house next door were examined.
Two cars arrived at 8.29 pm on the 28th. The people who came asked the driver about the guests. Including the driver, they all went inside, then took everything and left. I phoned my PA and told him all the things. We spoke to the police, an FIR was also registered. We hope the Delhi Police will not let this matter down. It is an area where the VIPs live. Delhi police are serious about kidnapping in such an area. If it is the police that came, they must inform this in advance. They cannot come to the house of a politician and do so.

High Court Senior Advocate Gopal Sharma spoke on the kidnapping of Munnuru Ravi. He said that such things have become common after the Telangana state formed. He stated that the attacks escalated after the killing of the Vamana Rao couple in broad daylight. He said, “Meanwhile, a lawyer was recently beaten up by the police. He said that there were several allegations against Minister Srinivas Goud. Some police have forgotten the morals of their responsibilities and are simply acting as per the needs of ruling party members. When someone is arrested, the police should inform the family members and appear the convict in court within 24 hours.”

“But, in most cases, it does not happen. There is no law in Telangana, there is no justice, the police are simply acting as per the needs of ruling party members. Today, if a victim goes to register an FIR in Medak district, the SI asks for Rs 5 lakh. The whole criminal and justice system is controlled by powerful individuals who run the government. The family members of Munnuru Ravi should approach the superiors and file a petition together,” he concluded.
