YTP president Sharmila started a 24-hour protest in the name of the Palamuru-Water dispute. It will continue till 5 pm on Thursday. She said that KCR Sarkar is showing partial love for the Palamuru Rangareddy project which provides water to lakhs of acres. Sharmila protested with black badges in the padayatra, reminding KCR that he had given a promise about this project in the past, but now that promise has been broken. She took it out at KCR during the part of the protest. She said that there is no group that is not deceived by him.
Sharmila firmly stated that the Palamuru district was absolutely cheated. Why is the love for the Kaleswaram project not for Palamuru? she questioned, adding that the Kaleswaram project was bigger and there is more scope for illegal commissions, and that is why KCR preferred it over Palamuru. She said that Palamuru was the first project after Telangana came. She satirically said that Kaleswaram, built by an extremely intelligent person, who read 80 thousand books, has submerged in water.
“A mega fraud is going on in the state, how come all the contracts are given to the same man? This will not happen anywhere in the country. No Chief Minister has done this. Why are all the contracts from Kaleswaram to school benches given to Megha? Megha Krishna Reddy is KCR’s man and even BJP and Congress are not questioning them. BJP and Congress were also sold out to Megha Krishna Reddy. Megha also bought off Bandi Sanjay and Revanth,” she said.
“KCR is saying why Palamuru is not yet finished because there are no permissions. After spending 17 thousand crores, do you remember now that there are no permissions? This project should be completed immediately without giving reasons. Agriculture Minister Niranjan Reddy from this district pretends to have great love for the farmers. If there is real love, the farmers will If he dies for fertilizers, will he compare it to movie tickets? If he really has so much love for farmers, why is he not asking KCR about Palamuru? At least he is not even protesting,” said Sharmila.
