Former IAS officer Akunuri Murali has accused the state government of betraying the poor in the distribution of double-bedroom houses. He criticized the Telangana government for constructing double-bedroom houses for the poor in the state, but not distributing them even though it has been four years.
In this regard, a video was released on Twitter on Wednesday. It has been 4 years since the government constructed around 500 double-house plots in the Suryapet district, and even after four years of construction of houses and plots in the municipality area, the government is not taking up their distribution programs.
He said that the situation is the same in all the districts of the state. He said that even after five years of building the houses, KCR still does not have the heart to distribute them. He questioned why the constructed houses are not given to the poor. It has been criticized as to what kind of use it is going to be used in the elections.
“This is a very wicked thing, your way of thinking is terrible,” said Akunuri Murali indignantly. He said that the Social Democratic Forum is demanding that about one lakh double bedrooms in the state should be distributed to the poor immediately.
Ex-IAS Akunuri Murali is fighting because the houses have not been given to deserving people even after five years of construction. In the past, around 300 families were living in dirty huts in Ambedkar Nagar, Hanumakonda, as the double-bedroom houses were not completed. He said that seeing homeless people made him sad and that was when the police arrested him for protesting until the double-bedroom houses were allotted to the beneficiaries. In this context, he said that he will file a complaint against local BRS MLA Vinay Bhaskar. He said that there are allegations that the plots were sold by the MLA for money.
