BJP state president Bandi Sanjay demanded immediate release of the notification of group service jobs. According to government figures, there are 1,600 Group-1 posts vacant in the state, and the government desperately failed in issuing a notification in the last five years, which is atrocious.
The Bandi said that there was a severe shortage of IAS officer posts due to the non-replacement of Group-1 posts. He adds that the existing IAS officers are over-working and everyone is looking after at least 2 to 3 districts. There are 4,000 Group-2 positions vacant in the state. Also, 2,000 Group-3 posts and 40,000 Group-4 posts are vacant in the state
Bandi alleged that thousands of group posts were vacant and that is the reason behind the bad governance in the state. He said that welfare programs for the poor were being neglected. Junior Assistant posts in district, division, and zonal level offices have not been filled for 25 years.
Sanjay demanded that the government immediately fill the vacant posts. Warned that otherwise there would be massive protests throughout the state.
