Cinephiles and fans went all hyped with the teaser of ‘Thambi’ dubbed as ‘Donga’ in Telugu while the most talented Jyothika and Karthi teamed up as an appealing bro-sis duo. Right from the announcement, the project drew a lot of attention around the characters of the duo which was now revealed in the teaser which stuck the chord with netizens. Going by the teaser, Jyothika played a protective sister trying to save his brother Karthi who is a petty thief. Coincidently, both the titles in Telugu and Tamil are taken from Chiranjeevi’s and Madhavan’s hit films. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, this thriller is bankrolled by Parallel Minds Productions, along with Viacom18 Studios. Inside info is that Karthi is playing a dual role and the thriller also carries emotional scenes.
