Followed by young hero Nithin’s father bagging the Telugu remake rights of National Award-winning film ‘Andhadhun’, speculations went rife that Nithin would portray the most-discussed character played by Ayushmann Khurrana in Hindi. At a point, rumours floated that the makers would rope another hero given to Nithin’s slag in a career and couldn’t experiment a such a script. However, seems like ‘Bheeshma’ has given Nithin enough confidence, who kickstarted the shooting of the remake days after his recent film got a hit talk.
Helmed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film will be bankrolled by N Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy under Sreshth Movies banner. The film unit on Monday launched the movie with an official pooja ceremony held in Hyderabad. Director Surender Reddy directed the first shot of the film. While the title, remaining cast and crew are yet to be announced, the team stated that shooting will commence from June.
On this note, film critics raised concerns over Nithin portraying one of the challenging roles Indian cinema has seen in recent times. Ayushman, the main lead in Hindi version plays the character of a piano player pretending to be visually-impaired who unexpectedly witnesses a murder.
