Right from the announcement that Chiranjeevi would be gracing the pre-release event of most-waited ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’, all eyes were on the Megastar and Lady Superstar’s reunion which is happening after almost 15 years. As expected the banter stole the show with a flash of memories and heaping praises. The actors who stood as a hit pair in 80’s pairing up in almost 18 films offered an eye feast to fans in the pre-release event on Sunday. Speaking at the event Chiru recalled their friendship as co-stars and family friends and later shifted the topic to how distance grew between them as they both entered politics. However, Vijayashanthi on lighter vein replied that cinema is different from politics.
Hitting back to the times of Telangana movement, Vijayashanthi took sharp comments over Chiranjeevi for not supporting her and further intensified her verbal attack as the latter entered into politics. There were times when Vijayashanthi directed took his name, stating that he is an utter failure in politics while Chiru refused to react over her comments.
But seems like the event after years has laid foundations for the patch up story between the actors who remained loggerheads due to politics. However, everyone who observed them all along the event, it has been evident it was only Chiru who has been taking initiative while Vijayashanthi maintained a safe distance from the actor. After which the question, if the Lady Superstar is still carrying the politically related aversion, popped up.
