The flare between actress Kangana Ranaut and Shiva Sena which started off with the former raging over Mumbai police over Sushant’s alleged suicide now turned into a political storm.
The issue even touched the Raj Bhavan while the Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari summoned principal secretary to the Chief Minister on Thursday.
Hours after which the Kangana who claims to face death threats from Shiv Sena followers slammed Congress party president Sonia Gandhi for keeping silent.
Taking to her official Twitter handle which has 1.7 million followers, the actress asked Sonia Gandhi if she wasn’t feeling anguished with a political party harassing a woman who is fighting all the odds.
Dear respected honourable @INCIndia president Sonia Gandhi ji being a woman arn’t you anguished by the treatment I am given by your government in Maharashtra? Can you not request your Government to uphold the principles of the Constitution given to us by Dr. Ambedkar?

Further, the ‘Manikarnika’ actress also pointed out that history would judge Sonia Gandhi for being silent and indifferent on Congress’ ally Shiv Sena’s actions. She then hoped that Sonia would intervene in the matter.

It can be recalled that Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation(BMC) started demolishing Kangana’s property mentioning 14 violations despite giving a nod during the construction. The demolition came close on the heels of the actress taking a swipe at Mumbai government with “Mumbai is PoK now” remarks.
Despite numerous threats from Shiv Sena cadre, the actress along with her sister Rangoli landed in Mumbai with Y-plus security.
