While everyone who is aware of the murder suspected, the evidence found by the clues team raised doubts that Priyanka Reddy, the veterinary doctor whose body was found under a bridge at Chatanpally was brutally raped before the murder. Upon the preliminary investigation, Hyderabad police suspected that the young doctor who was all alone in the odd times was attacked, assaulted, murdered and was taken to an isolated place almost 27 kilometres away to set her ablaze.
While the family members blamed the police for not being prompt even after their complaint in late hours, the main media is now all eyes for the department’s excuse of why they didn’t attend the case until they get a call from locals about a dead body that is unrecognisable. “Had it been the police swung into action immediately after our complaint, we might have had our daughter at least alive,” said Priyanka’s mother. Priyanka Reddy scooty and her clothes were recovered by the police. Key evidence were collected by the clues team and the murder spot was reviewed by CP Sajjanar who stated that the CCTV footages are being examined. The police suspected that two lorry drivers from Anantapur were involved in the murder of Priyanka and are tracking the IDs according to the lorry number found in the CCTV footage.
