YTP president Sharmila said the situation of tenant farmers in Telangana was worse. Her walk continues in the Kodada constituency. She spoke to the villagers of Vallapuram, Nadigudem Mandal as part of the Mata Muchata program. On this occasion, criticism was heaped on the Telangana government. She said that the tenant farmers were left as de-faults near the banks.
Sharmila expressed concern that the number of murders and r*pes against women in the state has quadrupled in the past. She accused the TRS leaders’ children of r*ping women in government vehicles. She was incensed that women were left without protection under the TRS regime.
Sharmila boarded an RTC bus heading towards Kodada near Chanupally. She boarded the bus at the request of the passengers and greeted them. They all brought to her attention that the journey was burdened by the huge increase in RTC charges. They explained that the charges have been continuously increased for the 6 consecutive months. Sharmila assured that the RTC would be protected once the YTP came to power. They also took the ticket for the bus ride.
Earlier, Sharmila plowed a field with a tractor at the request of a farmer while she was walking through.
