Hyderabad is all set to become the next destination for mediation in the world. Marking the 75th anniversary of the Heartfulness Institute at Kanha Shantivanam, Baba Ramdev held the first wellness session at the World’s largest meditation centre in Hyderabad. Built on 30 acres, the first of its kind centre can accommodate 1 lakh people at a time. On this occasion, Daaji, the global guide of Heartfulness dedicated the centre to the first guide of Heartfulness who was fondly called as Lalaji.
Situated at about 40 km on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the meditation centre has one central hall surrounded by eight secondary halls. The authorities at the centre stated that the facility is a self-sustained ecosystem that can host more than 40,000 people with a kitchen where food can be cooked for 1,00,000 people a day. Speaking at the inaugural event, Daaji said that the facility was built with the main aim to impart meditation to the largest number of people. “It will soon turn into the destination for meditation & serenity becoming recognised symbols in the world in years to come. Recognised not just due to its magnificence, but as a symbol of human transformation.”
It was also announced that President of India Ramnath Kovind and Anna Hazare will address the practitioners on February 2 and February 7 respectively. Baba Ramdev will deliver his address on January 29. Several state Governors are expected to be part of the list of prominent people attending the celebrations.
