While the world is at doldrums with the dreadful Coronavirus spreading its roots uncontrollably, China which has been the prime victim has set a new record on Sunday. China government which rolled up the sleeves to build two dedicated hospitals for treating patients infected with Coronavirus, wrapped the project in under two weeks shocking the world. While the ground was broken on the first facility on January 24, the Huoshenshan Hospital in Wuhan opened its services from Monday with 1,000 beds for coronavirus patients. The videos of the construction workers working round the clock on war footing are now going viral on social media.
Completing the construction in record 10 days, the infection triage, treatment and recovery centre roped in thousands of workers were operating more than 800 equipment simultaneously as they rushed against time to save lives. On this note, Chinese President and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping approved 1,400 medical staff from the armed forces for treating the patients.

The medics consist of 950 people from hospitals affiliated to the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Joint Logistic Support Force, and 450 from medical universities of the army, navy and air force of the PLA who were sent to Wuhan earlier. The government also announced that the deployed army medics have ample experience in treating the infected while the majority of them had participated in the fight against SARS in Xiaotangshan Hospital in Beijing, in the anti-Ebola mission in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
