The names of the four going to the Rajya Sabha on behalf of the YCP have been announced. While Vijayasai Reddy was given another chance, BC Welfare Association national president R Krishnaiah, lawyer Niranjan Reddy and Beeda Mastan Rao were finalized as candidates by CM Jagan.
Jagan first met with the four for a while. After the meeting, their names were officially announced by Minister Botsa Satyanarayana and Sajjala Ramakrishnareddy. It was then said that the same was discussed with the chief minister several times and only then the names were finalized.
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that two of the four Rajya Sabha candidates were not BCs. He said that direct posts and nominated posts are the same. He explained, “we are giving positions to the poor and weaker sections according to the population proportion.”
Ramakrishna Reddy further added that CM Jagan is working hard to bring justice to all sections. Meanwhile, the other four candidates thanked CM Jagan.
